There is a new game coming out that combines Doom3 and Max Payne. It has the darkness and scary factor of Doom3 combined with the “Bullet Time” of Max Payne. It also seems to combine flying kicks, but I have not been successful with it so far. Lots of blood and gore, including flying body parts.

F.E.A.R – First Encounter Assault Response is a paramilitary group sent in to take care of supernatural activities. You are a new member of the team sent in to stop a captain that has gone mad. Even has a ghost girl moving around the area. When your character gets excited he starts to breathe heavy and when the tension really cranks up, so does the character’s heartbeat. Sets the mood really well.

Download the Demo and take it out for a spin.

Here are examples of the clever ‘fake-sites’ they’ve used. Crawl around any of them long enough, and discover the ‘free month’ offer hiding within.

Yet another game turned movie is on the horizion. Doom! I guess it didn’t make enough in sales so they are going to try am drum up support with a movie starring The Rock and Karl Urban.

This is going to use a FPS type look and feel so you will see what you would see as if you were playing the game. Interesting concept, wonder how well it will pan out.
