Madaracs’ latest haul from Play N Trade prompted me to post this video.  It came across the interweb tubes today via The Saturn Junkyard.  I think this video pretty much sums up how we all feel when we know we’ve got sweet loot waiting for us after da workin. 🙂

Hammi hit me up with a Play N Trade gift card for my birthday so I was back in their store today looking around.  I was able to pick up the following:

Thanks, Hammi!

Play N Trade has finished cataloging their massive NES take and everything went on sale last weekend. Though I didn’t get everything I wanted, I did pick up a bunch of games. They have 1/2 of them (or about 600 titles) out on the floor right now. The other half will go up Sunday.

If you’re looking for anything in particular rare or otherwise you may want to give the store a call and check to see if they have it.   I’ve seen the entire take and I know there will be a ton of really cool stuff that may help you fill out your SNES or NES collections.  They’ve got the largest local collection of 3rd party NES carts you’ve ever seen.  You know you want a copy of Bible Adventures.  The really rare stuff is behind the glass at the counter so don’t forget to check that out too.  Swing by and tell’m Adam sent ya.  😉

I had no idea Mr. Do was ported to the SNES.

I do now.  It is also now the single most expensive SNES cart I’ve ever purchased. I’ll bring it to the party for show and tell. Or maybe we’ll play some good old fashioned SNES games sometime at my place.

Here’s the email from the owner:

I took a look on ebay and other sites to get some pricing information.  Original Frogger cabinets range from $600 to $1600 from poor condition to fully restored condition. I think that $800 is a fair price. The machine is a 8-9 on a 10 point scale and is fully functional.

I have gone through the entire unit, cleaned it, done maintenance and replaced the control panel with a new one. The buttons and joystick work well and have a great feel. The machine is an original Sega/Gremlin Frogger cabinet and has the Sega seal and serial number. The only item to mention on the ‘to do’ list is the monitor could use a capacitor kit. I have a kit for this machine and I will include the kit with the purchase. Contact me with any questions. thanks -Greg

Cabinet photo is not actual.  I don’t know if it has side art or not.  So what I hear is, great cabinet, so-so monitor with a cap-kit and the need to move it.

Commander Tim or I can give you the contact info if you’re interested in haggling or getting photos of the machine.
