I have my copy of Mario Kart Wii! Just got my feet wet with the single player. Lots of fun! From what I read on reviews, there was disappointment with the wheel. I thought it was fine. Didn’t get the frustration that others were reporting. This is only after a half hour of playing, so maybe I am missing something.
Who else has Mario Kart? The online play is supposed to be a blast.
I need hep on Saturday the 17th! That’s one week from Saturday!!! If anyone can bring folding chairs that would be great. If you have your own lawn chair that you like bring it. If you have extra muscle and would like to help me set up and organize game systems that’d be great too. Basically, please call me if you can help!

Thanks dudes.
Over on another board we’ve been discussing the upcoming Retro Party and naturally people started reminiscing about the good old PC games we used to play. This is sort of a cross post but I thought it would be interesting reading for those who are not on that board… and to have it here for posterity.
A great little unlicensed Trek game was out in the late 80s/early 90s called Intra-Galactic Battles. My friend Ben Lundgren and I used to play it frequently. For your gaming pleasure I uploaded a copy here. It even runs on my PC without DOS box!
As far as Text Based trek games (Go North, Get object, Go South, Fire Phasers) I’ve got the original Star Trek – The Promethean Prophecy for the Apple //c and the downloaded version of The Kobayashi Alternative and recommend you get your own copies of these games from abandonia.com. Abandonia is a permalink on this site and you should check it out frequently!
I have the Nintendo Four Score–a multi-tap for the NES. I also own the following games that are compatible with it:
* Anticipation
* Gauntlet II
* Play Action Football
* Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Arcade Game
* World Cup Soccer
I’ll setup an NES specifically for these games only at the Retro Party. Should be sweet!
Hey Dudes, I’m out in WV again and there is a store out here called “The Game Exchange“. They carry classic to new video games and some consoles. It’s a retro gaming haven. Let me know if you’re looking for something specific and maybe I can fix you up.
