So I was cruisin’ You Tube for videos related to Tron. Since the inspiration for my gridcycle site, name and logo were heavily Tron-influenced I thought I would share this video I found.

It’s a kick-ass (yet full of fluffy bubblegumness) little piece of electronica/dance that not only contains Tronesque content but pseudo-video game characters as well.

Enjoy the video “From Paris to Berlin” by Infernal.

Get the song at iTunes.

In case you haven’t already checked it out…

The Wii website.

Every so often I check out the Abandonia link on the left side of this site. Last week I discovered that two classic computer games were recently released as abandonware. Both are Broderbund titles and were favorites of mine in Junior High and High School. I thought they were worth mentioning and you should download them and give them the proverbial spin.

Woot.com recently had a link to this game in their ‘bloggy type’ section. It’s a very cool game entitled Insane Orb and is is played in the vain of Pong. The catch is that there are gravity wells, obstacles and a random pac-man character that try to mess you up the whole time. You can also shoot at your ball to make it go faster. It’s really fun… give it a shot.

Game Over, Man!

For those who just want a machine to surf the internet, play music, run office and have everything run well all of these machines will work just fine. For those wanting to run a decent inexpensive Home Theater PC, the first computer is really the only one that can handle it. RAMBUS memory is still kind of expensive but you can get it on eBay if you want to go above 768. For those who want a modern gaming machine–these are probably not for you–Although you can play CounterStrike, Unreal Tournament 2004 and early GL games like Quake II and Starcraft. Will play Battelfield 1942 but not Battelfield 2.
