SG ProWhen I bought my Sega Genesis a couple of months back I was extremely happy that everytyhing worked. But one thing has always bugged me about the Genesis. It’s controllers were substandard when compared to the SNES at the time. Thus, gameplay often suffers. Their original design was pretty cool–I just don’t think it was easy to control as the popular SNES and dogbone NES controllers were. One day I was at Game Crazy looking at used controllers and I found an SG Pro Genesis controller for $2. For that price I had to give it a shot. It’s an impressive 6-Button controller with turbo and slow motion options–none of which I use. However, the layout is very close to more modern controllers. and the four button pad on the right is way easier to use than the original Sega controller. Overall, I really liked the way it worked. I’ve seen them on ebay for as high as $30 new–but a couple of weeks ago I landed two brand new (still shrinkwrapped) SG Propad controllers for a mere US $5.95 and $7.95 shipping. They work awesome and now I even have a spare!

I found this site called PS3411 that seems to have some good info on the new PS3. But riddle me this, Batman: I thought they’d ditched the batarang design on the controller. It looks like it is still that wonky design. Take a look here and get the 411.

OK one more YouTube for 2J. You’d think I only just discovered YouTube. The truth is wherever I search it seems to be popping up more and more. Finally a Google competitor (at least with one product)!

I present to you… Super Mario Bros 2 before it became what we know it in the states:
