Apparently there is a new virus that is highly contagious, can be transmitted via close proximity, and is fatal in most cases. Fortunately it only affects World of Warcraft players. Apparently the god of blood, Hakkar (interesting name), has a Corrupted Blood spell that is out of control. It has spread from PC to NPC to everyone else. Most towns are infected and anyone below level 50 dies. There have been attempts to quarantine infected players, but these prove ineffective since the players avoid the quarantines to infect others.
