Sony recently pushed back the November release date until March of ’07 for the release of the PS3. Apparently it doesn’t affect all regions of the world. PAL territories will be delayed. Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) claims “a delay in the mass production schedule of the blue laser diode”, an integral part of the Blu-Ray drive.

Launch dates for Japan and North America will remain the same: November 11th (JPN) and November 17th (U.S., Canada). Even though there are delays announced for these PAL regions, the previously announced “6 Million Units” of PS3 shipments globally ending in 2007 has not changed.

So according to this information the NTSC blue ray diode must work just dandy?
