Hey gang, something new and fun. Gravatars! What you say???

Globally Recognized Avatars!

Gravatars are simply “icons” or “avatars” that are associated with your registered email address. The cool thing is when you comment on this site you’ll see your gravatar next to your name. If you don’t have one, you end up with the boring default Gridcycle avatar. Currently, gravatars are only visible in comments and not in posts. The reason for this is that it affects the overall layout–but that’s another story.

So go to http://en.gravatar.com/ and setup your avatar. You can choose any photo from the web or make your own. It will be 80px x 80px so design accordingly.

Then, about ten minutes after it’s been uploaded, it will magically appear on this site–assuming you used the proper email address. If you need to update your profile on this site go here: /wp-admin/profile.php

Enjoy!
