Sources all over the internet including the folks at Wired are reporting that Leonardo DiCaprio is producing and starring in a movie called Atari. The film will cover highlights of the life of Nolan Bushnell whom many consider one of the forefathers of the video gaming industry. Bushnell, a technology entrepreneur, is credited with the founding of Atari and the creation of both the video arcade game Pong and the Chuck E. Cheese franchise in the 1980s.
There’s a lot of ground to cover: Bushnell co-founded Atari in 1972 on $500, hired Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak as early employees, and sold the company six years later for $28 million to Warner Communication after inventing the Atari 2600 and the addictive arcade game Pong.

I’m not a huge fan of Leonardo DiCaprio for many reasons and I don’t know if the life of Nolan Bushnell will be as intriguing as the bent existence of famous aviation monolith, Howard Hughes. However, having seen that film–I have no doubt that DiCaprio will pull it off.
