Don’t worry!  We just want to borrow it.  I think the same “rules” will apply, if you have a console that you want to share please let us know which one it is and be prepared to bring your own T.V. or monitor for it.  If you have a unique console and don’t have a spare T.V. or Monitor we certainly want you to bring it.

Sound off. What will you bring?

    I’ll bring:
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
Arcade: (If I can get some help bringing them to and from otherwise they stay home.)
    ———————————–
    – Ms. Pac-Man (cabaret)
    – Tron (cocktail)

Consoles: (Complete with TV or Monitor)
    ————————————
    – My Console Cabinet with NES Front Loader, Sega Genesis, GameCube and PS2 or PS1 and maybe another. (It has a video switch for 5 machines)
    – 13″ TV with an Atari 7800

  2. Cloudscout Said, August 20, 2008 at 4:03 PM

Tonight I will find out about the Pac-Man Plus cocktail machine and the Pit Stop pinball machine.

  3. Madaracs Said, August 21, 2008 at 7:09 AM

If I’m not mistaken you told me you were going to get the Pac-Plus cocktail. What about the Pit Stop Pin?

  4. Cloudscout Said, August 21, 2008 at 7:35 AM

I should be able to get it but I’m told it needs some work so I don’t know if it will be functional in time for the part. We’ll see.

  5. Madaracs Said, August 21, 2008 at 7:40 AM

Hmmm. I wonder if that dude you met who sells cabinets and parts might now a guy…

  6. Cloudscout Said, August 21, 2008 at 9:19 AM

Yes, he already gave me the name of a guy who does pinball stuff.

  7. Zoyx Said, August 21, 2008 at 9:04 PM

    My tentative list…
    – Slickstik computer… Mame plus 2600, NES, SNES, and Sega emulators installed. USB adapters for Atari and Nintendo controllers. A 19″ LCD monitor comes with this.
    – Atari 7800 with 2600+7800 games and controllers.
    – Atari 5200 flash cart + track ball. Not my system, however… assuming POI is bringing his.
    – Retro Duo (plays NES/SNES carts)… and a few games, I don’t have many. No 4-score… doesn’t work with this.
    – 19″ LCD widescreen TV.

    Things I could bring…
    – 19″ CRT TV that I gave my brother. He lives across town from me, so this is some work.
    – 37″ widescreen LCD. I haven’t attempted split screen with this. If I can figure it out, might be worth bringing.
    – My NES, 2600, 5200

  8. Madaracs Said, August 22, 2008 at 6:29 AM

Maybe it would be better if we both didn’t bring the same consoles. (Atari 7800) Do you have a 2600 you can bring or should I bring my 2600? Of course, that said, CS has a 2600 too. The NES isn’t as big a deal because there are SO many games. Not trying to dissuade you Just trying to lighten your load. ;-) That and we don’t want to end up with a bunch of unused consoles laying around. Commander Tim needs to weigh in too! I imagine he’ll want to bring something too. Maybe his Saturn and whatnots.

  9. Zoyx Said, August 22, 2008 at 8:38 PM

The reason I was going to bring the 7800 is that it can play 2600 games. Bringing a 7800 is more efficient. I do plan on bringing the 2600 joysticks and paddles.

  10. Madaracs Said, August 23, 2008 at 6:06 AM

Right. But do we need two of them? And it’s always fun to see the 2600, 5200 and 7800 next to each other. (IMO)

  11. Zoyx Said, August 23, 2008 at 1:05 PM

I’ll just bring my Atari carts then.

  12. Madaracs Said, August 25, 2008 at 6:40 AM

Do you have a heavy or a light sixer?

  13. Zoyx Said, August 25, 2008 at 10:03 PM

    Light

  14. Madaracs Said, August 26, 2008 at 7:18 AM

Why don’t you bring your 7800 then? We’ll use Cloudscout’s Darth Vader system and POI can bring his 5200. Unless CS thinks we should use a woodgrain model. Then I’ll bring mine up since we both have light sixers.

What games do you plan to bring? We will need Medieval Mayhem. CS plans to have a jumbo game of that. We might even run a tournament on that game with the final game thrown on the garage door with a projector.

Let me know what games you plan to bring for the 2600. I realize it’s probably all of them… but I’d like to fill in the gaps if there are games people don’t have.

Some I’d like to see for the 2600:

    -Adventure
    -Haunted House
    -Missile Command
    -Spider-Man
    -Superman
    -River Raid
    -Empire Strikes Back
    -Star Raiders
    -Every Imagic Game ever made.
    -Pac-Man
    -E.T.

Also if you have Adventure II for the 5200 that would be really cool if you could bring it. I think you brought it last time or bought it shortly after the party?

  15. Zoyx Said, August 26, 2008 at 11:26 PM

I do have my Krokodile Kart, so we can make all of those games happen.

I also have Adventure 2. I was disappointed with that, mainly because you had to use the 5200 controller.

  16. Madaracs Said, August 27, 2008 at 6:20 AM

Dang. I wonder if you can use the 7800 controllers? Or did it require the keypad? POI’s controllers were restored by MOI so maybe they’re a bit better?

  17. Madaracs Said, August 27, 2008 at 2:49 PM

Yeah, I’m dumb. The 7800 controllers have the standard 2600 interface. Shoot me now!

  18. Zoyx Said, August 27, 2008 at 4:57 PM

I have an adapter that lets you use 2600 controllers on a 5200. We’ll give that a shot.

  19. Zoyx Said, August 31, 2008 at 8:10 PM

Should we advertise this shindig on Atariage.com or similar sites?

  20. s1500 Said, September 27, 2008 at 1:23 PM

Hi there. I’d like to show up for the party, and have 3 friends that are interested. I have an oddball 19 inch TV that only has s-video for an input(but I have an adaptor). Zoyx told me about this get together on atariage. Of the 3 friends, one is a definite video game freak, and one other knows how to fix electronics if something goes awry. I can bring an N64 if you wish.

Definitely advertise the shindig on atariage. there’s a few other locals on there.

This post floating to the top of the comments reminded me that I was supposed to remind myself to post my offerings… :-)

    Tentative:
    Sega Saturn
    Sega Nomad
    Atari Jaguar (with Tempest 2000)
19″ tv with A/V switch and power strip

I can drag more consoles along if need be. I’m pretty sure the Dreamcast and N64 will be represented pretty well, but I’ve got stacks of games for either. I’m also debating on bringing the Sega Genesis/CD/32x beast over… somebody convince me.

I also have a VCR and a copy of Gleaming the Cube if anybody is interested ;-)

  22. Cloudscout Said, September 28, 2008 at 8:58 PM

I’m looking forward to Tempest 2000 on the Jaguar.

    Here’s what I’ll have for console/computer systems:

Commodore 64 (with Commodore 1702 monitor)
    Commodore SX-64 (with built-in monitor)
Commodore 128D (with Commodore 1080 monitor)
    Sega Genesis
    NES
    Atari 2600
    CDi 490
    CDi 350 (portable)
    Apple IIe
Amiga 2000 (with Commodore 1080 monitor)
Amiga CD32 (if it arrives in time)
    Dreamcast
    Playstation
    Playstation 2
TI99/4A (I don’t have any games for this so hopefully T-Dog brings some)

Then, of course, there’s the arcade machines:
    Battle Arena Toshinden 2
    Mortal Kombat
    Relief Pitcher
    Centipede (60-in-1)
    MAME

    And the pinball machine.

In addition to the monitors listed above, I also have a 13 inch TV, a 27 inch console TV, the LCD TV behind the bar, the LCD TV over the fireplace and I’m going to pick up another 27 inch TV. We can run something on the projector, too.

  23. Cloudscout Said, October 1, 2008 at 9:13 AM

I have MAME up and running on my GP2X as well.

  24. Zoyx Said, October 1, 2008 at 3:00 PM

Yeah, show up s1500, we would be glad to have more geeks around.

  25. Cloudscout Said, October 2, 2008 at 12:13 AM

    Anybody have a 3DO system?

  26. POI Said, October 3, 2008 at 7:16 AM

are we going to get a keg again this time? that rocked last time. I’d be happy to help set that up if people want it and can chip in. fat tire was a good choice.

  27. Madaracs Said, October 6, 2008 at 2:42 PM

s1500 welcome aboard! Sent you an email…

    Feel free to join us!

  28. Madaracs Said, October 6, 2008 at 2:52 PM

I’m in on the Fat Tire too. It was relatively inexpensive. POI: If you would like to set that up I’m sure it would be a HUGE help. I bought it from the Liquor Locker last time. We can put a coffee can out for donations or whatever you think is best? Anyone else want to weigh in?
