Don’t forget your tube socks, guys. :-)

Like I said in the other thread, I am going to try to bring my T&F cocktail. Depends on space in my wagon. I won’t be there for Friday setup. I will try and get there 10 am sharp Saturday.

I’ll be there with however many(up to 3) friends I can drag along. I have a MINI Cooper so I can’t exactly bring a table, but I can bring other things(Tv, etc).

@ Zoyx: I think CS said you could come before 10 if you’re helping to setup?

  6. Zoyx Said, October 9, 2008 at 6:21 PM

I shall try and get there earlier then. I’m not a morning person, and I am coming off of these early morning shifts… so I am behind on my sleep.

I put together a 10 hour music list of mid 80s to early 90s. My tastes are probably “gothier” than yours. Need some of that synth-pop stuff from the early 80s to balance out my stuff.

I have about 5800 tunes on my Ipod, 99% of it early 80s new wave & synthpop stuff.

It sounds like music won’t be an issue. In my mind it would be better to have a pile of cassette tapes and a boombox/ghettoblaster instead. P.S. Goth didn’t exist until the 90s. It was “Underground” or “Industrial” in the 80s. ;-) So what are you carrying with you Zoyx? I’m interested in your musical tastes. Not in stealing them… just what they are.

PS s1500: You’ll fit right in with us! :-D I know that’s sort of a: “duh”.

Bauhaus, Cure, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Sisters of Mercy, all got their start in the late 70s. Goth has been around for quite some time.

Watch the musical performance by The Damned doing “video Nasty” on an episode of The Young Ones, circa 1982. They are in full goth gear. And it’s a good song.

I had a blast. A garage turned into a 1980s arcade. Cabs everywhere. It even sounded like an arcade from a distance.

Great time! Thanks to all that showed up.

Welcome Licher! Thanks for coming to the shindig. S1500: Glad you enjoyed yourself. That Wii clone was awesome. Thanks for bringing Jim and Darnell? (Hope I didn’t butcher that) too. Hope they enjoyed themselves too!
