My all-time hi-score is 17962 for Stampede Atari 2600, game 1, difficulty b. That would be good enough for 4th at Twin Galaxies. Not a “flippable” game, which makes it rare. Real fun game, I should pick it up again.

    >>Steve also explains how he ended up with a cameo in “Four Christmases” (as “Jim”, the husband-who-never-talks, playing Donkey Kong on the Virtual Console).

I might see the movie now just to see him playing the Wii virtual console NES version of DK.

I played Stampede last night for the first time in a long time. Wow, hard game. It will take a long time for me to get back up to speed. Stampede strategy video.

We mention Steve Wiebe in this post, but no response from Steve. He needs to get his google alerts working.

I have since learned that the reason the game isn’t flippable is because the game ends after the 8th herd. So I have a new goal in life, to make it through the 8th herd. This new age of responsibility will have to wait.
