There is a neo-retro title on the horizon that looks pretty fun. It’s a RPG/Adventure title similar to many classic titles you may have seen in the past including Zelda. The game is called 3D Dot Game Heroes. It was developed by Software Games and will be distributed by Atlus in the U.S. this May.

Below is a japanese trailer for the game and a screenshot that was recently released by Atlus to show the North America version.

    Been counting the days for this one. The character creation mode is awesome. The press keeps ripping on it for being a Zelda rip-off, but I fail to see how that is a bad thing if it lives up to the hype.

    It looks cool but the graphics are kinda blocky. James Cameron’s Avatar: The Game has graphics that blow this game out of the water

    @Zoyx: Priceless.

    @s1500 – No, it’s all polygons, they just use cubes to construct everything. A voxel game would be cool though… I’m sure modern consoles could do a pretty epic job with them.
