For over a year we’ve been keeping a pulse on the game set to be released by EA known as Spore. The game was co-created by Will Wright creator of Sims and the gameplay allows a player to create a single-cell organism and guide it through its evolutionary growth and eventually–ultimately creating a civilization.

There seems to be a new cultural rift forming from the concepts of the game… and it’s not even out yet. The question is… Is it worse than Furries?

But scrolling through the database — past the three-legged sea horse, past the seven-eyed wildebeest and the half-motorcycle-half-pig — revealed something many users didn’t expect. I received my 96-in-1 upgrade for my Ms. Pac-Man arcade machine yesterday. I will probably install it tonight. I ran into a snag since my Ms. Pac-Man has already been hacked with the speed chip the directions will vary slightly. Mike Doyle rules. He is very helpful and will be assisting me in getting through the instructions that were sent with the kit. The kit itself is immaculate and very professional looking. Cloudscout played a couple of Atari 2600 games he’d never played last Saturday. The first was Jr. Pac-Man. The second? Medieval Mayhem. We played two full rounds which requires one person to win five games. I took the first set pretty quickly. The second set was not as easily won–but Sparby (coming from behind) took honors and beat us all:

I recently beat my old Ms. Pac-Man score and have proof! Cloudscout was there and snapped this photo of my score:

I’ve added it to the High Scores page located in the sidebar under “Pages”.
