Free Left 4 Dead game for an NES emulator near you… coming in January. I’ll be there! I have an inkling it will come off looking like Gauntlet, but I don’t care.

Revision 3 has started a vidcast of indie game reviews, “bytejacker“. The format seems to be a full review of a cheap pay game, then they have smaller reviews of free indie games. The host can be a bit obnoxious, but not a show-stopper. They are four episodes into this, each episode is about ten minutes long. Some fun looking games in their latest episode.

This old Computer Chronicles episode provides a nice look at the gaming industry as it was about to collapse. Some good games were still being made though. That Space Shuttle game was a work of art, considering it was made for the Atari 2600. The Pinball Construction Set was also extremely creative.
Fun fact: The original air date of that episode was on my 20th birthday. Phooey.
Below is an interview by Leo Laporte with Kiki Stockhammer and Phillip Nelson. In it Philip and Kiki (but mostly Kiki) talk about Kiki’s promotional work on Video Toaster for the Amiga and how she came to work with NewTek–the inventors of the famous software. They also talk about their latest efforts with the company which has a broadened vision in the television and film industry. At one point, the interview takes a turn and talks about Kiki’s involvement with the Star Trek-influenced band: Warp 11. There are some clips from their latest album! To be perfectly honest, the main reason I’m posting this is that Kiki is F-ing hot.
