Here’s something local & fun. I went to the MN State Fair yesterday, knowing full well the arcade game presence has been heavily scaled back over the years. There used to be 3 arcades at the fair, filled with classic & current coinops for everyone to enjoy. There were also pinball machines.
But this year, pinball had its own room. Pinball on a Stick is now there with its own room. Plenty of pinball machines, classic & current are available to play. While there was no Fun House or Star Trek:TNG, they had Big Guns, which was new to me. Check out http://www.pinballonastick.com/ or just go visit them at the fair.

Nicely done. We went to the fair and we did go into an Arcade to play some Skee-Ball and get our pictures taken in the B&W Photo Booths. Other than that, it was DDR and a few racing games. No classic games. 🙁 Ah well, maybe I’ll see Pinball on-a-stick next year. P.S. Jeff Dunham is supposed to make an appearance at the MN State Fair this year. 🙂
They still have that “Turret Tower” game, which is a coinop that has its own greenhouse built around it. Reason being, the whole game rotates 360 as you aim your gun around. Sega had a similar “whole thing rotates” game, but open air(no greenhouse).
Way cool. Glad to see pinball still going. Surprised to see that there is a family guy machine.
Surprised? Why is that?
Surprised maybe as in I think I’ve only seen one Family Guy machine around in the twin cities. Not exactly a common machine in this era.
