See what I did there? Anyway, an enterprising (re: bored) Ghostbusters fan took it upon themselves to build the ultimate Wii-mote accessory for all your Ghostbustin’ needs. Pretty neat, and there’s a proton pack to match. I’ve never played the Wii version of the game, but I’ve heard it’s fun (and radically different from the next-gen versions). See the rest of the photos and get the full scoop over at Ghostbusters Fans.

New retro Sega console to be released this summer in the UK. Can’t ascertain when or if it will be released in the US. I’ll let Commander Tim give the review of the games that are included. My quick take is – I like the price and that it has wireless controllers. Apparently there is no way to add new games. An SD slot would be killer.

Something that will be released stateside – Atari Flashback 2+. Expected release is later this month. Same as the Flashback 2, except subtle changes in the game lineup, and some bug fixes. You get a nifty t-shirt if you pre-order.

Nyko introduced a new controller at CES 2010, the Wand+. Basically the controller is a WiiMote with motion plus built-in, without the cumbersome motion+ add-on. No need for the rubber condom either, because the underbelly of the controller is rubberized. Also no sign of a strap.

Other things I can see, the d-pad looks a touch bigger, and may have better diagonal support. The buttons are a touch bigger, and the ‘home’ button has been lifted above the ‘-‘ and ‘+’ buttons. ArsTechnica got a hold of one, and had nothing negative to say during their brief play with Wand+.

Curious to see if there is a similar version released by Nintendo. Probably won’t see their version until the next incremental upgrade of the Wii.

Edit: Wand+ hasn’t been released yet… a few months away.

Free Left 4 Dead game for an NES emulator near you… coming in January. I’ll be there! I have an inkling it will come off looking like Gauntlet, but I don’t care.
